Local Youth: Sign Up for Art Out Loud!
June 8
United Action for Youth in partnership with Summer of the Arts are hosting a stage in the Jim Swaim Youth Center for area Youth to read their works. Any area Youth may register. Depending on registrations slots will be between 5-15 minutes in length. This event will be recorded for potential broadcast at a later date. Because of this we ask performers use appropriate language and complete a signed media release.

Summer of the Arts is still looking for volunteers to ensure the Iowa Arts Festival and Iowa City Jazz Festival is as fun as it can be.
This event cannot happen without volunteers who staff the Art Fair, Bike Parking, the Merchandise Booth, the Water Booth, the Beverage Garden, and the Ped Mall activities. Children under 14 are welcome, but they must volunteer with a parent/guardian/older sibling.
Sign-up looks a little different this year with a two-step process:
